A parkour gym,
built by hand.
PK Guild started as an empty warehouse in Tsurumi, Osaka. The team dug the pit, laid the spring floor and raised the walls themselves. This page shows what’s on the floor today, in numbers and photos, so you know what you’re walking into on an open-gym night.
Three things
you’ll use most.
Around them: movable boxes, bars and rails that staff rearrange for classes and open gym, so no two nights have exactly the same course. Open gym gives you all of it: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 19:00–21:00.
Dug, flooded,
built again.
The pit is the reason the gym exists. Before PK Guild, the team rented time at gymnastics halls to practise big moves. So the first and biggest job was digging a 5 m × 6 m hole into the warehouse floor. Then water came up through it. The hole was drained, sealed and finished, and today it catches failed flips every night.
- Sunk into the floor ── it was dug into the warehouse floor, not stacked on top of it, so you approach it at floor level.
- Flips and twists ── backflips, fulls, corks, double corks. Our workshops on cork and twisting moves run over this pit.
- Shared ── check the pit is clear before you throw. Locals and visitors share it on open nights.
14 by 9 metres
of spring.
The main floor is a sprung tumbling floor, 14 m long and 9 m wide. It’s where classes run, where boxes and rails are set, and where you’ll do most of your open-gym training: runs, vaults, precisions, tumbling lines and landings that don’t punish your knees.

Walls to 5.5 m,
and everything movable.
The walls go up to 5.5 m for wall runs, climb-ups and cat leaps. Boxes of different heights, bars and rails are moved around the floor by staff. Some of the rails were cut from steel pipe and assembled in-house.
From empty warehouse
to guild.
The gym was built by the people who run it. Framing, walls, floor, pit, reception, lighting ── the whole conversion was done in-house, and the pit flood along the way is part of the story. A few photos from the build:

Common questions.
Can visitors use the pit and the walls?

The gym is built around the spring floor and the foam pit. We don’t list other apparatus here; if something specific matters to you, ask on Instagram before you come.
